Getting Started
Welcome to Unbanned G+! Here's everything you need to know to get started with our platform.
To create an account:
- Click "Join Now" on our homepage
- Enter your email address and create a password
- Choose a username (this can be changed later)
- Verify your email address by clicking the link we send you
- Complete your profile by adding a photo and bio (optional)
Yes! Unbanned G+ offers a completely free basic account with access to all core features. We also offer premium subscriptions with additional features for users who want enhanced capabilities.
You can find communities in several ways:
- Use the search bar at the top of any page to search for topics you're interested in
- Browse recommended communities on your home feed
- Check out the "Discover Communities" section in the main menu
- Join communities that your friends are members of
Once you find a community you like, simply click the "Join" button to become a member.
Account & Profile
Manage your account settings, update your profile, and customize your experience.
To change your password:
- Go to your Account Settings
- Click on "Security"
- Select "Change Password"
- Enter your current password and your new password
- Click "Save Changes"
Yes, you can change your username once every 30 days. To change it:
- Go to your Profile
- Click "Edit Profile"
- Change your username in the designated field
- Click "Save Changes"
Note: Changing your username will not affect your existing connections or content, but people who search for your old username may have difficulty finding you.
We're sorry to see you go! You have two options:
- Deactivate Account: This temporarily disables your account. Your profile and content will be hidden, but you can reactivate at any time by logging back in.
- Delete Account: This permanently removes your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.
To proceed with either option:
- Go to Account Settings
- Click on "Account"
- Select either "Deactivate Account" or "Delete Account"
- Follow the on-screen instructions
Privacy & Security
Control who sees your content and keep your account secure.
Unbanned G+ offers several privacy options for your posts:
- Public: Anyone can see your post, even people not logged in
- Community: Only members of the community can see your post
- Connections: Only your approved connections can see your post
- Private: Only you can see your post
You can set a default privacy level in your settings, or choose for each individual post when creating it.
If you need to block or report another user:
- Go to the user's profile
- Click the three dots (•••) next to their name
- Select either "Block User" or "Report User"
- If reporting, follow the prompts to specify the reason
Blocking: When you block someone, they can no longer see your content, message you, or interact with you on the platform.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account:
- Immediately change your password
- Check your active sessions in Account Settings > Security and log out of any unfamiliar devices
- Review your recent activity for any actions you didn't perform
- Enable two-factor authentication for added security
- Contact our support team if you need further assistance
Troubleshooting
Solutions for common technical issues and problems.
If you're experiencing performance issues:
- Refresh the page
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try using a different browser
- Check your internet connection
- Disable browser extensions that might be interfering
If problems persist, it might be a temporary issue on our end. Check our Status Page for any ongoing incidents.
If you're not getting our emails:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Add no-reply@unbannedg.online to your email contacts or safe senders list
- Verify that your email address is correct in your account settings
- Make sure you haven't accidentally unsubscribed from our emails
If you're having trouble uploading files:
- Check that the file type is supported (JPEG, PNG, GIF, MP4, PDF, etc.)
- Ensure the file size is within our limits (50MB for images, 500MB for videos)
- Try uploading a different file to see if the issue is file-specific
- Check your internet connection stability
- Try using a different browser or device
